Roaming Lazio with Bill

Bill, or ItalianWannaBeWill, a former cafe owner, bread and pizza enthusiast, lover of people and good food, someone I like to call a friend.

I met Bill in 2020 when for 3 weeks I interned in his bakery café in Los Angeles. He was about my dad’s age, but still during our 3 am cappuccinos our love for Italy brought us together.

Our friendship has blossomed into something special since then, that has taken us from Los Angeles to Paris and in this story finally to Italy. These images were made when I went to stay with him and his partner Eileen at his Italian home away from home in Lazio, about an hour away from Rome.
