You can call me Shab. You can find me in Barcelona.
Hello, bonjour, hola, que tal? I’m a photographer etc (see below) who has lived many lives. Most of it was in Los Angeles where I was born and raised to immigrant Iranian parents. I spent my early years at a French school and my childhood summers in Tehran. It’s a privilege to have had three languages under my tongue by the time I was 8 years old and to have more than one part of the world I call home (Now, three. )
I picked up a camera when I was 12 and ever since it’s come with me through all the lives I’ve lived— basketball games in high school, concerts in my 20’s, and into the world of food since 2020. From LA, to Paris, and now finally in Barcelona where I plan on planting new roots.
But the ethos has always remained the same and it’s what we see here in my portfolio today: documenting people loving what they do, loving who they are with, living the lives they are living. Whether I’m commissioned to shoot the menu for a bar, document an event, create images to sell bottles of wine, capture an engagement, and especially if it’s a personal project, my mission remains the same: capture connection, culture, and creativity.
If you like what you see, I love working with people whose vision aligns with mine.
